Most eyebolt towing hitches are only rated for around 1500 pounds. With
that said...you're pushing the limits. On flat non-highway usage, you
are probably okay, but be sure to give yourself extra stopping room.

If you are in hilly or mountainous terrain, I'd be very cautious. I
only did about 25-40 mph carrying about that much behind my Syncro and
I was pushing the 2.1 with that (nearly overheated, and forget about
using AC. ) Now the subaru will let you pull more easily, but the hitch
and brakes are still your weak points.
