Spoil my day. You WOULD ask. The de facto fuel availability on my syncro westie is 16.5 gallons US. With the fuel mileage provided by Smallcar I average 13.7 MPG actual (GPS) sooo 225 Mi on-road range. Shortens to 190-170 Offroad depending on conditions. I have a Gary Lee rack which mounts a 20l nato-spec fuel can and can mount an additional 5.5 Gallons in an Outboard motor fuel tank which fits perfectly into the luggage well. Going to full empty on the total will bring 16.5+4.5+5 or 26 US Gal times the 13.7 nets ~350 Mi. That's ~ $58US for a refill or ~17c/mile best case.

In the UK where 89RON sells for 86p/l It would cost ~170USD to go the distance for a fuel cost of $0.48/Mile.

Why does diesel 2 cost more than Unleaded RON 89?

pensioner
