Whatever method you use, think ahead ,and remember that you will need to
accurately retorque da nut. File a small match mark on the nut and bering
housing so you can tell when yu have retightened enough.Just one of several
ways to do this.I once used  a 10 foot long  cheater pipe to remove the
nut.A "nut whacker" can be had from many vendors for about $5.This is a
piece of cast iorn that fits over the nut. A breaker bar is attached and a
hammer"whacks" the cast iorn. This is done while while downward pressure is
placed on the breaker bar. Works good.
