Brake lines cant be made out of copper because of the extreme corrosive
reaction between copper and brake fluid.  Stainless is about the only metal
safe there.

I can think of several vehicles with copper fuel lines.  Not seen much
anymore only because of the price difference in running the plastic vs the
copper.  

Smaller coolant lines on some vehicles still are made of copper with a
jacketing.  Mostly RV types.  Copper is easier to bend in tricky spots and
is not as prone to cracking at the fittings or bends.  Many conversion vans
and RV have quite a bit of copper in them because of that.  Though many
newer installations are using more of the plastic tubing than before.
