Subject: FS: 2.1L engine from 1987 Syncro
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="windows-1250"

Hi Folks,

Per the subject line above, I bought this Syncro at the end of June '04 and drove it from Pensacola Fl. to Zelienople Pa. Where it resides today. I have performed an engine transplant, and therefore have no further need of the original engine. This engine ran well after an initial sorting out (throttle switch, plugs etc), and was a good soldier.

Vehicle odometer currently reads 132K and small change, I'd add about 5K to that since odometer was inop on the trip home (now fixed).

Engine does not and has not leaked coolant from the head gaskets while I've owned it. It is running Castrol 20W-50 and a Mann filter, I never got any low oil pressure warnings. Engine comes with complete digifant wiring harness (minus only the coolant expansion tank sensor and sensor plug), 022 ECU and idle stabilizer control unit; Syncro specific steel coolant crossover pipes; power steering pump, reservoir, and original hoses; A.C. compressor and rebuilt (as of January) alternator. Engine exhaust complete and good up to the wye pipe, which needs replaced. Broken exhaust flange bolt at #1 exhaust port. I did not perform a compression check. Flywheel exhibits oil contamination on clutch face, but may be OK with a minor clean-up. The water separator and snorkel are not included.

As is, where is, $450 obo. I can't ship, but I can hoist the engine into whatever conveyance you bring to fetch it.

Cheers,

Dave
