Hi Florian,

5200 lbs is the Max rated weight for a  fully loaded westy. Empty they
are closer to 3400 lbs.

I have used a u-haul dolly and a flat trailer on occaision. The dolly
is more convenient to tow than the large trailer, but the trailer we
rented had surge brakes, which are preferable if you have a lot of
hills or traffic.
