Let's be careful here, lest some innocent comes away from the plumbing
department at Home Depot with his tit in a wringer.  Your Mini should have copper
ALLOY lines made of a 90/10 copper/nickel alloy known as "Cunifer Alloy" or when
drawn into tubing, "Bundy Tubing".  Quite a few European car makers have been
using it for years to eliminate the corrosion of brake lines, although,
considering the total of the car they build, I can't imagine why the British bother.
