Then of course there's the infamous "Hot Dog Fred" folding bus ladders for
$80 or so.  It's a version of the OG bus ladders that go for 400-500 bucks
if you see one.  I have Fred's that works perfectly for access to my roof
racks on both my split window & vanagon Westy by hanging on the roof gutter
& the bottom resting against the tire.  Hadn't thought of trying it inside,
but it might work if the cooler/coffee table option weren't readily
available.
