Mine broke when I was to take the nut off that would not budge. My question is; what held the nut back? Once the stud broke the remaining piece turned out of the nut with ease. There was a very little rust in that area but it was not enough to suggest that it caused the brakage. Something would not let the nut turn and only did with great force applied, which eventually lead to the broken stud. I am still baffled of where the hold up was.
