Subject:      dead spot on steering wheel contact (horn only works in turn) -
              80 Vanagon

Anyone have to address / fix this? The horn only works when wheel not pointing straight ahead. I expect its the brush / contact plate in the steering column.

Interesting synchronicity - my Nissan Pathfinder has the same problem - but it affects both horn and cruise.
