Subject: Syncro question... vibration!

Hey...how is life?

I have a few Syncro at the shop with similar problems...vibration, on all Syncro it is at different speed. but mostly around 40mph...

Am pretty sure it's the 4WD drive shaft.

Also, they all have a second stupid (because they all have it!!!) VW problem

The more the steering wheel is turned left or right, the more the wheel are locking, like if i was breaking... i know it's a front Drive Axle problem but i don't feel any major wear with them!!!

Can someone point me to a Syncro site so i can learn more...before i put the front end apart and learn myself!!!

And...another one...fuel leak from le left side of the fuel tank...Not the pump, not the hoses and NO, not the fuel tank outlet... i suspect a crack in the FIBERGLASS tank..or maybe it's comming from the fuel sender hole...not sure....but some of you may remember that van...the Titanic one: http://www.benplace.com/vanagon_engine1.htm

So if i have to remove that tank, i have to AGAIN remove that trany...ouff, with a chemical suit to protect myself from the calcium, dirt and rust...he he he

Any classic leak i should be aware of.....

Cheers, Ben http://www.benplace.com/
