Wanted to add my $.25 If sensor is old it's time to replace, they are not expensive Lots of them leak coolant thru contacts and it goes undetectable because it's hidden by connector and dries after spilling into "cup" around sensor.By itself not a big problem but lowers pressure in the system that may lead to higher temps.Remove connector to check for signs of coolant while engine is at normal running temp O-ring has to be replaced with new sensor Leon
