Subject: 84 Vanagon in Europe
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

Hello

My partner Will and I will be touring Western Europe this year driving our 84 Vanagon which so far has touched 4 continents and, if we can cross the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco this year, will have been on 5 continents.

We drove 12,500 miles last year through Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, a little of Russia and all the way to Istanbul. In 2000-2001, we drove nearly 30,000 miles making almost a full circuit of South America leaving out Colombia since there is a war in the southern part of the country. The Europe trip last summer was an exciting trip especially Romania and Slovakia which turned out to be my favorite countries of the trip.

There is a website at willandlarry.net where there are some 2,000 photos and maps of the South America trip.

If you have any questions about shipping a van, papers, visas, etc. for Europe or South America, I'd be happy to help.

If there are any Vanagon lovers in Europe we would like to hear from them especially if they could tell us of the scenic places in their areas where we might visit. We prefer pastoral countryside to cities usually but if we can find a secure spot to park the van in cities, we enjoy them too.

If you like, you can write us at willandlarry@yahoo.com

So long, Larry
