Hi everyone,

I've really enjoyed reading the thread on the Vanagon's best design feature. Like others, I really like the way it makes me slow down--I have nicknamed my 85 Westy "The Time Machine".

But I think the best design feature is the terrific view of the road you get. It is simply outstanding!

Last summer I cruised the "Avenue of the Giants" in Northern California--the filtered light through the beautiful redwoods and the smell of the trees through the open window--what a treat!
