80-84 westy rear inner slider doorhandle is fixed, it doesnt rotate, its just there for back seat passengers to close the door if it doesnt slam on the first try doesnt matter if its vertical or horizontal.. sit in the back seat and try it..your preference

they nixed this feature on the 85 up because they redesigned the door to slide easier and it wasnt needed..
