Yes, that was me. I have done it to a few Westys. I replace the flaky or broken Westy faucets with a SureFlo model that has a much better switch and that can vary the amount of water that comes out, as well as pivot up to allow larger pans to be placed in and filled from the sink The SureFlo has no connection for a city water hookup but that is seldom if ever used anyway. The city water outside hookup then has no function so I cut the guts out of it and attach a computer type fan to the back of it and some screen mesh in between With the little water door propped open and the fan switched on, the heat that builds up behind the fridge can be removed from the van instead of just recirculated in the interior. When camped in warm weather this can help the fridge cool things quite a bit and keep the interior living space cooler as well. The noisier stock Dometic cooling fan will run less often too
