I Just got over the same problem.  It was the Phram filter that I was using.

Thanx to all that helped me out. I've installed the
new exhaust system today. I works great. However, a
new problem has reared it's ugly head. The low oil
pressure buzzer. (LED is flashing)

     Here is the scenario: I started the engine
without the air flow sensor attached to check for
exhaust leaks. After buttoning everything up I went
for a drive. Lousy performace, lugging, ext. I
disconected the battery for 15min to reset computer.
Went back out for a test drive, perfomance was back to
usual, pretty good, shortly after engagaing 2nd gear
the oil buzzer comes on. This is the 1st time this has
happend. I changed the oil to 20W50 thinking that the
oil pump is worn (I had a similar problem with the
Jetta, It fixed it) . I still have the same problem.
with the buzzer Anyone have any ideas? I'm wide open
to suggestions. It only has about 130,000 miles. Thanx
in advance...
