I have a > TiiCo motor, but I've heard of people regularly going 360+? 1988 4-speed GL, standard engine, etc. with air conditioning! ;) may 7th, 1989 - 328.8 miles on one tank. put 15.5 gallons back in. cost me $15.56. ;) only 7891 miles on the clock. may 15gh, 1989 - 322.8 miles, put in 14.6 gallons, $15.76. 8745 miles on the clock. many other times over 300 miles in 146,000 miles. but always on long trips.
1992 5 speed Transporter 2.1L WBX engine - no A/C P/S or other BS ;-) Premium (95 RON) fuel used exclusively...since new. I never need to fill up before 500kms (312 miles) and often let it go to 530kms (331 miles) I have gone as far as 560kms (350 miles) and the tank hasn't been bone dry although is obviously getting close. These figures are for a mix of urban/country driving with a relatively (but not entirely) unladen van. These figures are not a fluke or a misprint as they have been repeated many times(530kms) and several times (560kms) on long distance country driving. The van now has 273,500kms on the clock with no reduction in fuel economy yet.
