Here in aurora I have quite a few places I can get a fill and even if I had
a propane vehicle. The trick is that some of them have a minimum 20 pound
rule. They wont send anyone out to the pump for a charge less than a 20
pound fill (charge).
One of those is about 1 half mile south (20 lb min), another is an RV place
about 1/2 mile east, another RV place about 1 mile north, and a major gas
company about 3 miles east. Another gas station with propane is about 2
miles south and I think he also had the 20 lb rule.
There used to be a couple of others but both of those were shut down by
zoning and not by competition. Fire rules and now enviro rules for bulk
propane have changed over the years. One guy would have had to buy the
business behind him to get the new mandatory exclusion zone.
