Shawn, I walked down (west) the Klanawa as far as I could one day, from where "the main road" crosses north south (know what I mean?), was in the fall and the river was a too high to let me get as far as I hoped. Have you tried to get to Pacific Rim Park boundary that way?
It may sound strange to other folk, but it is fun to "navigate" down these West Coast streams in summer, with waterproof pack and fly rod :)
