Connect the two tanks with a safely made hose. (generally comes in two types, 1psi and 300psi)

Open valves on both tanks Open overflow valve on westy tank Invert and hold second tank up to fill first. This would be best done on a cool morning with a westy tank out of the sun and the portable tank warmed up.

With a 5 lb tank you will get about 2 pounds into the westy before the two tanks are at about the same temperature and flow will slow down considerably.
