When I redid that part of my interior I used a fiberglass insulation similar to what VW used and also a layer of the foil bubble wrap stuff sold for insulating as well and then paneled the area. I found I am getting much less heat transfer to the inside than I formerly did. I wanted that real insulated because when I camp in the hotter regions I usually aim that side to the main sun angle. jimt
