Hello Volks,


After cleaning off my Syncro transaxle case from the red sand that was caked
all over it, I now find small oil drops on the garage floor after a long
drive. It is coming from the transaxle output case at the parting seam, not
the driveshaft seal itself (the housing where a driveshaft decoupler would
be). It appears that there is no paper gasket, but instead a bead of
something similar to "the Right Stuff" or some similar gasket forming
material. Looks like it is easy enough to unbolt, clean up and carefully
reseal. Any problems that I am not foreseeing?
