The new Pagid shoes are the way to go especially for the budget conscious. Note that this is still a bonded shoes with a conventional lining. The shoes from the dealer are riveted and the lining is of a metallic nature such as metallic front brake pads.

They are almost certainly resurfaced brake shoes. Most of the resurfaced "white box" shoes I've seen come out of Canada. I've seen them under a million different names but they're all the same ones in the box. I have carried them once in a while in the past when availability forced me to, and can't say I've seen any widespread problems. But generally I avoid them because by importing them myself I can offer brand new German Pagid shoes for not much more money (and their quality is exceptional).
