Bummer Boomer... My Porta Potty has a type of release valve.... you pull the handle out VERY slowly (ALWAYS with NOTHING in the bowl) and you hear it hiss and then stink the crap out of the van... but no Boom Ka-Splat..... Always open all windows, & skylight before trying this maneuver.....

Side bar:... I'm sitting on my Porta Potty behind the pass seat facing backwards... A nice cop comes up to me and starts asking me some questions thru the screened side window.. he can't tell I've got my nickers below my knees... But the wind just happens to be blowing his way and his facial expressions start changing... and he soon decides to move along... good choice ;^)
