I'm not sure what the wierd phone vibe was about, but after meeting Lucas and Taylor of Go Westy after they graciously agreed to meet me on a Sunday afternoon, I will have no hesitation buying my new 2.2/2.3 motor and trans from them when the time comes. Lucas took about an hour of his time to show me his shop, warehouse, and personal Syncro. We checked out his rebuilt engines and trannies and he showed me in detail the things they do to keep these things running. I walked away with a set of 16" wheels and a quote for a rebuilt trannie with locking differential- but most of all with Go Westy's commitment to the Vanagon platform.

That said, when spending that kind of money on anything-you always need to have a confident feeling on where and who you place you money with. I've heard great things with AA Trans as well, but have had great personal experience with Go Westy-do what feels best-it's your dough. Just my 2 cents!

Thanks and happy Friday everyone, Adam
