Subject: [NVC] Windscreen for BBQ
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

The inventiveness of this group never ceases to impress me, so I'd like to see if someone has thought of a solution for this.

When I backpack I always bring a little folding aluminum windscreen to keep gust of wind off my bitty stove. It reduces fuel consumption and speeds the cooking process. It's grease spatter shield designed for household stovetop use. Three 10'' square panels hinged together.

I'd like to have something to shield our little charcoal BBQ from errant breezes, to ease lighting and reduce ash dispersion. The BBQ is one of those cheap 14'' diameter round jobbies that sits about 10'' high -- cost about $12 at a local Osco/Sav-on. My spatter guard thing is too small for it and I can't think of anything similar that is fireproof, self-supporting, and collapsible.
