I'm with you on that one, but there's a German (maybe Austrian) Phd-of-something who posts to the Syncro group and he will argue at length that the idea of shit-canning the VC is foolish. His point is that the benifits of an all-wheel drive system in providing superior vehicle control under all road conditions outweigh its shortcomings. I guess he has never had a VC eat a transaxle for lunch.
