Perhaps of interest to some, while we're on this topic, is that the late style 2 sensor "dynamic" oil pressure system (the L shaped circuit in the speedo housing) is *identical* to the same circuit used on 85-89 gas model Golf/Jettas. Furthermore, by swapping in a turbo diesel Jetta tach and dynamic oil pressure circuit, the dynamic system can be fitted to a late model Vanagon. I just did this on the weekend with my '88 Westy cluster, after confirming part #s in EKTA. The diesel circuit is different due to different output for the diesel tach. In theory, if one were to use something like the Dakota Digital diesel tach signal converter, the stock gas dynamic circuit (and tach) could be used.
