I gotta get power to all that. I have a new battery under the driver's seat with an isolation relay so it charges when the alternater is running, and disconnects when it is not. Everything in the cabin is now running off this house battery so I can be confident that the engine battery does not get discharged while camping. Everything, that is, except the existing light fixture over the counter. I need to get to those wires and bring them down to my house battery power panel. I want to re-route them so they run down behind the driver's seat.

This is all a long-winded way of asking one question: does anyone have any wisdom about accessing the two wires that run from the over-counter lamp to the driver's-side door lamp ("INT LITE-F" on p. 97.58 Bentley's Vanagon)?

Mike, that light is powered by the smaller of the two red wires that come out of the fuse box behind the drivers seat. The leads of that fuse box go to the fridge relay in the battery box under the drivers seat. Both of those red leads should be disconnected from the relay and then directly connected to your AUX battery. This will put the fridge and all camper electrics on the AUX battery.
