RE: Value over time I own two vehicles, same year, similar mileage, both premium vehicles when they were new: My '90 Westfalia 2wd and my '90 T-Bird LX. The top dollar, even considering the low mileage (103,000) that I could get for the T-Bird would be around $2,000 IF I spent about $1000 to get rid of the whine in the rear end (been that way for seven years). I could easily get $12,000 for my Westy, maybe more. And these two vehicles sold new for close to the same price. I love driving both vehicles, the T-Bird is the best driving and handling car I've ever owned. But the Westy will continue to hold it's value for the foreseeable future, the T-Bird will continue to depreciate. And I've looked on the Internet, NO ongoing support for the T-Bird, no 'community' out there for the T-Bird if later than about 1960. If I had to part with one or the other the choice would be simple: I can use the Westy for a daily driver but I can't camp in the T-Bird.
