Subject: Good Westy on eBay

Been talking to this fellow selling an 87 Westy in New York state, and I was just about to buy it for $5200, but I just can't due to financial issues.

Anyway, I have been on the phone and talked with Chris, he seems like a very decent, honest guy. He is willing to fix some of the big issues (bumper, window regulator) before selling and he just did the head gaskets and some other stuff. He's a vee-dub guy and has a 91 Westy and a safari van.

I have no affilliation at all with Chris (it was the $1200 shipping to Seattle that killed this for me), but I wanted to just put this out there. Looks like a nice van with only 127K, and the Carfax I ran said this lived in San Diego CA until 90K, has a clean title, and no accidents or odometer fraud reported. Here is where to see it:

It has an awning that is not shown in the pics too.

Cheers.

Jim

83.5 Westy (with all new exhaust system, yeah! Running great, for now.)
