Thanks, Kim. Some have p-mailed me about the trim strip, suggesting that others have removed this part w/o an apparent aftereffects. I expect that MMV on this one. I reckon I'll be prudent and get replacement no-strip rubbers and let a local shop do the R&R on them. Good thing is that if I pull the trim strips now, there's not likely to be be any precipitation between now and December here in SoCal to trouble Mellow Yellow .
