"The next on my list is to find a gauge similar to Frank C website."

To all who are looking at this solution. There seems to be a slight problem with these gauges to check the level. First the ones that are "Now" available at Canadian Tire seem to be for the new style barbecue tanks we have up here so the fitting to the tank is different and may require an adapter to fit it to the Westy's output valve. I need to actually purchase one and get it out of the ton of plastic surrounding it to exam it more closely to see if it may have the proper fitting threads inside the end that's visible through the packaging. I have not had time lately to research this further as it's not high priority at the moment. The adapter, if needed, is another $30 CND and takes up another 4 ~ 5" which along with the gauge will certainly cause you to have to make new propane lines to reach the newly displace end of the regulator. Then on top of every thing else it is not the most accurate way to check the propane level. This gauge is checking the propane pressure at the exit port. The pressure of the propane in the tank changes as the ambient temperature of the tank changes. So, it's not very accurate. You could for example have very littler propane left in the tank on a very hot day and be showing a full tank which is not true. So, do I drive on up to my local Canadian Tire and do more investigation or do I leave it slide and tend to my more important knitting in the shop ? The "BIG" question for today !

Cheers,
