oops, hook up the vacume for 1.5 hours and then shut it off. Watch the vacume gauge for 1 hour to see is you have a leak.If your compressor has not been used for more than a year, you mostlikely have a leak on the shaft seal and you will loose a bit of vacume, and 134a in the future. Dont worry, you just have to recharge every spring about 1 pound. New compressors have a shelf life of 18 months because of this.The owners manuel in most cars say to operate your compressor for a few minutes in winter for this reason. Sounds like your about 80% done.Let us know how it works. |
