Interesting, my '81 Wanderlodge has a gas detection system from the factory; nice to see the RVIA getting on board - better late than never I guess. The system includes a cut-off solenoid that stops propane flow if gas is detected inside the bus. I tested it with the stove one day and it still works fine. If you could get your new CO or propane detector to trip a relay, it would be a great addition to the GL Campers propane system. When we were packing up leaving Darlington a couple of weeks ago, an alarm went off in the coach that I hadn't heard before. I had left the side door open and the RV next door started his engine - less than a minute later the alarm went off. Evidently it can still detect CO after 24 years too. The new portable CO detector that the wife had in the bedroom never went off. I had used that same detector in Goldibox when I lived in her in Jacksonville for a couple of weeks and had to use a portable heater to keep from freezing to death; it got into the 30's a couple of nights. Good luck, Tim jimt <camper@TACTICAL-BUS.INFO> wrote: RVIA now requires a CO detector (as of jan 1) in any RV now built with a fueled device and sleeping area. Even though the RVIA is just a manufacturers group, the NFPA and other agencies and many states usually write their standards into the statutes as minimums. There also is debate right now on LP detectors as well. Jimt
