I just called BD to add to my order, but in talking with the rep I learned that what they sell protects against puncture, not heat. Is that the function of the original sheathing as well, or does it protect against contact with hot engine parts. As the sheathing they have is not in stock, I'm hoping to get something that I can install this weekend.
