Subject: Thanks for your comments everyone ... Re: Did I buy the Right
Vehicle? Am I hearing all the bad.

I would like to say thank you to all for your comments on the reliability of
your and my Vanagons. I thought about all your comments tonight while I was
diagnosing an erratic turn signal (dirty connector) and briefly pondering
why when my engine Idles it seems smooth and nice then starts to Idle
erratic for a few minutes and back to smooth again and I wonder if it has
anything to do with the condensation... Damm I hope it's condensation
sputtering out the tailpipe when it first starts. Quick question.. do all
plugs white mean head leak or running lean?. But I know it has nothing to do
with my wiper sprayers that just stopped working.
I thank you all and I will do what I can to get things in order. Over the
next few months I will try to get it running the way I like. And will get a
feel for the engine and the vehicle as a whole and if all goes well in a few
weeks I am going to try to make it to busfusion.
I have never been a spare part's carrier but I always have a bag of cheapies
and doubles tools that I carry. I can only hope that's enough. Has anyone
ever rigged a toolbox to fit in the engine compartment on the left-hand side
or will that restrict airflow too much.
Thanks Once again
Adam Thacker
