Jeff, When I replaced my clutch master cylinder on my 88 GL, I found it only necessary to loosen the nut on the line at the cylinder and allow fluid to drain, thereby clearing the line above, feeding the cylinder. Then I pumped the clutch pedal 75 + times until I got a good hard pedal on the clutch. It has been fine ever since. I have not found it necessary to change the slave cylinder by the tranny yet, so can't address how I would deal with the bleeding of that. I think the master cylinder to satisfactorily self-bleed by pumping the 75 times. Not so with brakes.
