Dave,

It was on the "S" shaped hose between coolant distributor and passenger side head (quoted directly from the nice coolant hose diagram on Ken Wilford's website, at http://www.vanagain.com/21lchc.htm - look for part 5).  That hose is about an inch in diameter.

How come?
