Well...I had an 86 syncro with about 160K on the engine and kept having the buzzer/light go on after cresting a long uphill climb. I tried to baby it along but needless to say, it wasn't long before my wife called and told me "the van died and the parts that fell off are in a bag". The "parts" were a rod, a bit of case, etc.
