I noticed that some vanagon origional equipment hoses were made in
France.Who knows rubber better than the french (indochina and all)?I trust
my 20 year old rubber more than any new rubber that I can find anywhere.I
just dont know it's source.I have had rubber that was all cracked in a
year.Hoses that failed very quickly,and name brand to boot If I put this on
my van it would surely be burnt sooner than with my old stuff.I drive a
tommy cooker,and I hope I can find rubber that I can trust soon.I keep
seeing arguments, but if I could get the exact same that was installed when
new, I would do it without hesitation. Once the plastic fuel line exploded
shortly after morning start up.The line that goes from the pump to the
junction.I put a piece of advance auto fuel line in its place and it seems
to be ok.I understand that the danger zone in the rubber hoses are the
hoses near the injectors.I hear of people fighting fires near the injectors
most often.
