That is how they are getting the actual Diamler ones into the US now. They are "typed" in the US system for importing vehicles because the US variant is almost identical to the European version. Anything westfalia is going to have to be made in europe as they have never opened a US plant.

Diamler-Chrysler corp started the US plant for the North American market last year. The Diamler Westy mod has been getting done for two years now. BTW Diamler-Chrysler owns Westfalia Autowerks. Bought them out in about 1992.

Airstream is bringing them in and the "uplifting" them by adding the big top and a couple extras.
