Good point, I forgot I had to file the dash opening a bit too. BTW Crutchfield lists only one radio out of all the models they carry as being compatible with the Vanagon (at least for the earlier model years). It can't be a size issue -- must be that's the only one they have an adapter to common-ground speaker wiring for?? But it's easy to run new speaker wire to get separate grounds to each speaker.
