Barb,
I have a cheap inflatable Coleman kayak.  I got it at Big Lots a year or 2
ago for about $30.  I bought a big drawstring laundry bag, and it fits in
there with it's collapsed paddle, one of those bellows type foot pumps, and
a life jacket.  This bag fits easily in the Westy luggage rack.  It has 5
air chambers, takes about 5-10 minutes to go from bag to inflated and ready
to float.  It is quite comfy and very stable in the water.  It is not very
"hydrodynamic" at all though.  but it is fun to get out on a lake or river
and get a different perspective on your surroundings.  I have taken it
through some mild rapids and it was fine.
