RE: Extinguishers I replaced the issue extinguisher with a 5lb Halon extinguisher I had been keeping in the house, replaced that with a 5lb dry chem extinguisher. I also keep a very small Halon extinguisher on the sink in the Westy for fast access in case of a stove fire. Two thoughts. One, if I didn't have a fuse block and inverter mounted on the cabinets behind the drivers seat, I'd move the large extinguisher to that area so that it can be grabbed on the way out to get to an engine fire. Second thought on kitchen fires in the home: Have the extinguisher mounted/stored OUTSIDE the kitchen, on the way to the exit door. Basic logic, you don't want to have to go through the fire to get to the extinguisher, or back through the fire to get out if the extinguisher doesn't do the job. That's why the extinguisher in the Westy is mounted by the door.
