Kim, I did check out their website here http://www.foxtoolsupply.com/ The stuff SOUNDS impressive, but so have ALL the others when you first hear about them.

They do not actually give the chemical breakdown, perhaps another member can chime in with EXACTLY what dura cools chemical make up is.

They do say you HAVE to charge the system with LESS by 34 percent than the original R12. which I have heard is not really proper to do to an R12 system and has its own set of drawbacks. Of course the makers of dura cool will CLAIM EVERYTHING is perfectly compatible and even colder than original R12 set up. So do ALL the other replacement products. Truth is only found out later by those in the KNOW that things are NOT always compatiable or proper. This has happened a lot already with all of these replacements.

Dura Cool is FLAMMABLE however they admit that on their website. I have heard of other products that use PROPANE mixes to replace R12. this has been around quite a while.

Would be nice to know exactly what duracool is made of and hear from a really good AC tech guy how it truly stacks up with all other options.

Till I am completely convinced I will be staying with R12 since that is what is fortunately still in my 89 wolfy.
