Thanks for all the advice!

I wish this wasn't my only vehicle, and more-or-less a company vehicle at that!

As I mentioned to someone, the oil light is on almost all the time now once it warms up (plenty of oil, doesn't seem like coolant is in it.

My usual mechanic can work on the head gaskets next week - quote $900...

Someone else in Seattle quoted $1200...

And I've learned one needs to do the heads too as they are probably corroded.

Some have said one can do just one side...

Some have recommended a Subaru engine...

Here is a question - if the coolant smells like rubber are the rubber hoses going bad?

And - how about a front windshield replacement?
