there is a tremendous difference between inflatable and foldable
kayaks and canoes - two different animals. klepper, pakboat and ally
are foldabes, ie they have frame and skin. they can have similar
in-water qualities as hardshell boats. inflatables though are much
slower and can be really annoying on lakes if you have to cover
distances. inflatables start at $50 and go up to around $1500,
foldables can be anywhere between $1000 to $2500(canoe) or
$5000(kayak)
maybe we should move to pm or a boat list though.....
