Check your Go Westy catalog. Maybe the go westy web site libray has the same info.It tells of this problem and the repairs that can be done. Of course itis geared(ha ha) to make gw the most money(as usual).I went away from reading this stuff for the first time, and lived in fear of my trans self destructing at any time. This has moderates somewhat , as I rotinely hear of transmissions lasting many hundreds of thousands of miles. However, I no longer pop the clutch and burn rubber in third gear.Guess I am safe till I find a 90 or later trans-right? Pre 90 transmissions are a dime a dozen.
